Since 1944, SCCA has existed to provide a place for auto enthusiasts and motorsports fans to come together and enjoy a shared passion. “I came for the cars but stayed for the people.”
Friday evening complimentary welcome reception. On Saturday the NEDiv Convention has full day of information about all of SCCA: region management, membership development and program support for your region. We will also present trophies to our 2024 season NEDiv Road Racing Series champions as well as recognize a number of our outstanding contributors to the division.

Marketing & Communications for All: Join Kristen Poole, Director of Marketing & Communications, for an overview of SCCA resources and new developments to help grow your region and events. Learn the basics of effective event marketing while getting an exclusive look at new tools on the horizon to streamline web presence, enhance member communication, and improve the overall member experience.
Membership & Region Development Roundtable: Join Aimee Thoennes, Director of Membership, and Abby Scher, Region Development Manager, for an engaging and interactive session. Get the latest updates on SCCA membership processes, tools, and resources and explore new workshops on using the Member Account Portal (MAP). Bring your questions, ideas, and experiences, this is your chance to dive into all things’ Membership and Region Development!
Region Development and SCCA Academy Roundtable: Are you new to SCCA leadership? Join Chris Robbins, Director of Region Development, and Abby Scher, Region Development Manager, for an insightful session designed to set you up for success. Discover key resources like SCCA Academy courses, hands-on workshops, Region Resources in MAP, and Foundation Region Development Grants. Learn how these tools can empower you to lead with confidence, streamline your responsibilities, and grow your region effectively. Let’s explore how to make your leadership journey impactful and rewarding!
RoadRally = #FunWithCars = invite new members. Join Clyde Heckler and Jim Wakemen as they show you how to build a rally aimed at recruiting new members. “How to Put on a Simple Question and Answer Rally (for the Region without a rally program).”
No calculations, no check point workers needed! We will have a list of some simple tactics (“tricks of the trade”), have some basic general instructions, and route instructions using those tactics. We’ll have a map which you can use to see how those will create an enjoyable competition which will focus on an inviting atmosphere where participants feel encouraged to connect beyond the rally itself.
Experiential Programs – How to help participants move to membership. Open discussion. Join Track Night in America Program Manager, Justin Barbry, for a town hall style session to talk about track focused experiential programs at the regional and national level. Conversations about staffing, logistics, scheduling, best practices, and resources for support are all on the table.
RallyCross: Join NEDIV RallyCross Steward, Steve Hyatt, for an overview of the 2024 highlights and a look ahead at 2025. Hear about topics such as category/class philosophy and more. This will also include updates on SCCA RallyCross National Tours and RallyCross National Championships. This will also be the time to answer your RallyCross program questions.
RallyCross Safety: Safety Steward and course design best practices. A helpful discussion of the RXSS process and how to design a safe and fun courses. From Safety to Fun Factor, there are many site dependent considerations that go into making an exceptional course.
The Evolution of Solo Course Design. What’s the MOST important part of your Solo event to guarantee repeat participants? Course Design. Greg Vincent NEDIV SDAC and Chris Haydu, will lead a discussion on how Solo course design is evolving. From Safety to Fun Factor, there are many site dependent considerations that go into making a great course.
Solo Safety and Incident Review Join Andrew Benagh, Solo Administrative Manager, Kathy Barnes, Chairman Solo Safety Committee and Jim Garry, NEDIV DSSS, as they lead a discussion on current trends in incident rates. This session will explore opportunities for improvement and how we can enhance safety across events. We encourage attendees to bring their own experiences and data to contribute to the conversation, helping shape the future of safe and successful events.
Solo Town Hall: Open Forum for program leaders. This session will also cover licensure and future expectations including a discussion the new LMS training that is a deeper dive into the intricacies of course design. There will be a discussion of how to transition race track solo events to Track Sprints to keep events within the appropriate program. Be part of the path forward on Solo Course Design.
Road Racing: Making events more inviting - NEDIV Road Race organizers lead a roundtable discussion of options you can use to enhance and increase entries and improve the weekend experience for everyone.
Road Race Steward Training: Matias Bonnier, NEDIV Executive Steward will review GCR updates and process updates for 2025
Trackside Experience: Steve Introne and Sal Baisley lead you through New England Region’s road race worker recruiting program Learn how you can utilize SCCA’s resources to INVITE new Road Racing Volunteers to your program. This session is designed for region and division leaders who are directly involved with road racing volunteers, including specialty chiefs, volunteer coordinators, and regional/ divisional administrators, just to name a few.
Road Racing Town Hall: Racing in NEDIV State of the Programs and Looking Forward – series leadership and goals for 2025
Paths to SCCA Licensing: Join Jon Krolewicz , Senior Manager, Regional Track Program Development, for an in-depth discussion of licensing opportunities and processes to encourage new competitors who have other track experience. Session will include the diverse formats available within the Race Experience program. Explore how these formats can be tailored to fit your region’s weekend schedule, ensuring flexibility and maximizing participation. This session will provide valuable insights on adapting Race Experience to meet your region's unique needs.
Celebrating NEDIV – Lunch and Awards: NEDRRC Divisional Champions, Lew Miller Worker of the Year, Castle Stone Stewards Award, NEDIV Rookie of the Year, Northeast Division Driver of the Year, Brian Holtz Memorial Award will be presented during lunch.
BOD Open Forum - An interactive session where the NEDIV Directors share their role in shaping the SCCA's future, highlights of current initiatives, and member feedback to foster a stronger connection between leadership and the membership.
NEDIV Council Meeting – NEDiv Council Annual meeting – The NEDIV Council is one representative from each region in the Division lead by a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Member at Large. Program leaders will present reports on the past year and program goals for 2025. Council officers will be elected during this session.
